The study of the durability of concrete mass used in piers for protection in marine environments allows the incorporation of fibres to concrete to obtain reasonable gains in compressive strength and good tensile strength. For a good result in the use of fibres, they must come from adequate length and volume. The objective of this research is to verify if it has profit of resistance of the concrete with different steel staple fibre taxes. For such they had been confectioned body-cylinder specimens and prismatic in the content of 30 kg/m³, 60 kg/m³ and 90 kg/m³ of concrete, beyond the mark, by subjecting the specimens to axial compression tests, tensile compression and diametric tensile strength. We may conclude that the gain of resistance is significance to the VFC, since higher additions have no gains to justify their use.Downloads
