The Personal Hygiene, Perfumery and Cosmetics (HPPC) sector is a rapidly expanding sector due to its diversity of products and the population's greater interest in self-care in home care, in which personal hygiene items, in general, are the first of the products in a daily skin care routine. Among these hygiene products are facial cleansing gels, which nowadays are one of the main products when thinking about a home self-care routine for people with oily, acne-prone skin. This may be the first stage of the skin care routine, which is cleaning the skin, removing impurities and dirt, such as makeup and pollutants present in the air, which accumulate along with excessive oil. In addition to cleaning, it promotes oil control and maintenance of the skin barrier, and can be used to prevent dermatitis such as acne. In this context, the research was developed as a way of studying the variety of gel products intended for facial cleansing found in the municipality of Feira de Santana as a way of obtaining a sample of the variety of this product in Bahia, in order to be able to characterize it from its composition between actives and excipients to desirable characteristics of the final product.
